…In the evening Mr Elless and myself walked down to Laughton to collect a debt of Master Shoesmith, but I could not see him. From thence we walked to Mr Sam Gibbs’s, where I carried a shroud etc. and where we stayed chatting I believe an hour. We also called at Master Bridgman’s as we came home, but did not stay. We came home about 8:15.
