We dined on the remains of yesterday’s dinner with the addition of a piece of beef boiled and some greens. In the evening we went down to Jones’s to the vestry where there were Mr Jeremiah French, John Cayley, Will Piper, Thomas Fuller, Richard Page, Ed Foord and Mr Burgess. I came home about 9:15. Rec’d back by Mr Thomas Fuller a receipt from Mr Stephen Fletcher for the bill sent today. Thank God I have been very busy all day and at home. Mrs Hill of Cuckfield and my cousin Molly Hill, Mrs Piper and her servant and daughter drank tea at our house.
