No service at our church in the forenoon, Mr Porter preaching at Laughton. We dined on some eels perboiled and broiled, a lamb’s head and pluck boiled, potatoes and turnips. Myself, wife and servant at church in the afternoon… After churchtime Mr Thornton, my wife and self rode over to Framfield, but did not stay 10 minutes. Came home about 7:20. Lent James Marchant in cash 0.6.0. In the evening and the day read one of Tillotson’s sermons and part of the 3rd volume of Hervey’s Theron and Aspasio. Mary Heath lodged at our house.
