Tuesday, April 22 1760

In the morning rode to Master Chipper’s at Laughton to speak to him for to serve the nails for Counsellor Russell’s house which is a-going to be repaired. Came back to breakfast… Gave Mr Sam Beckett in cash £3 for him to pay in town for me this week. We dined on the remains of yesterday’s dinner, with the addition of a plain rice pudding… Posted my day book and wrote out some bills…
