At home all day. Paid John Fitness at Tealing’s Common 1.4.0 as under, which is in full (except 4 corn hooks which I have now of his):

Received of Ed Shoesmith 2/- on Mr Thompsett’s account and received of Dame Watford’s 6 eggs 2d on his account. Paid Joseph Fuller for a shoulder of veal of 10½ lbs 0.2.7½. Paid the post boy for Thomas Freeman5/4 as under:

I received those goods the 17th instant. Paid Mr Jeremiah French (by John Badcock) in money 13 ½ d and by goods 9d, which together makes 22½d for a roasting pig received this day, weight 7½ lbs. Frank Smith came late; he gave me Margesson’s receipt for the £8 sent by his boy the 17th instant.
