Went in the morning to Mr John Cornwell’s. Bought his and George Cornwell’s wool at 6d per pound for my mother. Called on Mr Peckham; bid him 18/- per tod, being the price he asked me, but at the same time gave him the opportunity of selling it till Tuesday next, provided he can sell it for more.

In the afternoon went to Mr Francis Hicks’s; bid him 6½ d for his wool, but did not agree for it.
