Sent Messrs Margesson and Collison in a box £36. My wife drew on them to Messrs Davenport & Co. for £5 and to Mr John Crouch for £12, both on my mother’s account, £17 of the £36 being hers. My wife likewise drew on them to Mr John Crouch for ten pounds. I, this day bought Mr Jeremiah French’s wool at 6½ d per lb, but he is to allow me something back if I have a dear bargain.
Dr Stone bleeded me. After dinner I went to Lewes about some of my own and some of Mrs Virgoe’s business. Spent 15d. Came home about 10 o’clock. Paid John Cayley 4/- for the rent of the stable.
