At home all day. Paid Mr Dann £16, which with £24 I gave him 29th April makes £40, which sum he paid Messrs Margesson and Collison for me.

Paid Joseph Fuller for a neck of veal 19½d. At home all day and busy.

At church forenoon and afternoon; the text 3rd chapter, 2nd Epistle to Timothy, 15th verse, both times. In the afternoon gave Francis Smith 2.2.0 in part for carriage, which with £2 I paid him before makes 4.2.0 paid him on account. In the evening my wife and I went up to John Vine Jr’s; came home about 9 o’clock.

At home all day. Paid the post 4/6 for 6 pairs of women’s cloth pattens received of Thomas Freeman today. Rec’d of Dame Pilbull 2/1 in full. Paid for bread etc. 18d. In the evening after supper read part of Tournefort’s 2nd volume of A Voyage into the Levant.

At home all day and busy. Paid Mrs Weller £8 in full for one year’s rent due the 5th April (N.S.) and paid her £4 in full for one year’s interest due the 5th April (N.S.).

At home all day. Paid Mrs Cayley 7/5 for 13¾ lbs of butter in goods.
